Upper Terrace Loop Update!!

Snow is SUPER thin on the loop.  We expect temps up to 40 degrees this week to thin snow even more. Minimal ski tracks due to boot traffic. Some snow is packed at the entrance of the trail about 2 inches, but moving through the trail snow gets thinner, with some areas having 1/2 inch or less. Asphalt is completely exposed due to thermal features and thin snow in multiple areas. Please take off your skis to navigate these areas!!

We are not recommending the Upper Terrace Loop to skiers at this time unless you are an experienced skier! An alternative trail accessible by car from Mammoth is Blacktail Plateau but keep in mind current weather may change these conditions quickly. 🥶
