Whoa, icy! Our winter lull of fresh snow has brought out the substantial icy layers underneath on our trails, and such a great reminder to slow down as we journey through nature. For our grooming, the ice sheets have made conditions tricky to reach certain trails without getting stuck. While we are grooming all we can reach, some of the exposed ice is even slippery to walk with spikes on boots - particularly the higher, sloped trails like Hemlock Hill and the Upper North Branch Park trails. A few hidden gem areas that still have a nice snowpack are both ballfield loops near North Branch and in Hubbard Park below the stage!
