Hello winter snow sport enthusiasts!

On October 22, 2025 the Lake County Board of County Commissioners resolved to award a contract to Mountain States Snow Cats, LLC for grooming the Mineral Belt Trail for the 2025/26 season.

Subject to snow conditions, Mountain States will groom the Trail approximately 4 times per week through to the end of March 2026.

We hope to begin consistent grooming operations by mid to late December at several of our winter recreation amenities. The crews will be beginning to go out on the trail in ear;y December for preliminary laps with a roller implement to help compact the snow and create a good foundational base that protects the asphalt trail.

Many of you have already reached out with your excitement, and we truly appreciate your patience while we set up our trails for a successful winter.
