Kaslo Nordic Ski Trail grooming report for Saturday January 24 by Stu Heard

Grooming and track setting today / afternoon was cool -3 to -7 with clearing skis later afternoon that made for spectacular views. Pacific wrens are skittering about along the trail in the low shrubs, and snowshoe hare tracks are evident in the surface hoar frost alongside the ski trail. I groomed and double track set from Hwy 31A parking lot to Moose Meadow cabin, and groomed and track set for the Nordic youth program tomorrow Sunday January 25. I groomed and set single track to the prayer flags / 7 Mile FSR from Moose Meadow cabin. The dog trail (K9) was groomed on Wednesday as best can be, so I “Let It Be” today.

Ski conditions continue to be fast and hard, though not icy. Snowplow skills are a necessity.
