This message is from Murphys Point Provincial Park...

As a result of the melting base layer, bare spots appearing on roadways and the impending flash freeze this evening, the trails at Murphys Point will be closed until further notice.

Also I wanted to advise you that work is being completed at our park gatehouse, so we will be closing the park trails permanently as of March 10^th (the scheduled date of closure). The extended forecast right now does not look favourable for trails to re-open but we will continue to monitor the weather patterns over the next week.
