Good morning! Sun is shining, and it is starting to look like its going to be a gorgeous day to be in the woods! Groomers dragged the skate deck today to groom in the light dusting of fresh powder we got yesterday, leaving the trackset intact from yesterday that should still be in good condition. As of 10:30 am the air temp is 15.7 deg F and snow base temp is 14.4 deg F. Enjoy your ski everyone! We are holding a volunteer work day today to go finish opening up Mama Bear of tree damage from noon to 2:30, please meet at the chalet if you can attend! We can shuttle people out there, or you are welcome to ski out.
Notice: Now that hunting season is officially over, we will be working on opening up the rest of the trails system. Due to the amount of wet snow and winds we had in this early season storm, we have a lot of downed and bent over trees blocking the trails. So, we are asking for volunteers to come out and help us clear those trails so they can be groomed. Starting tomorrow (Tuesday) we will be going out from the CHALET with hand tools, chainsaws, and polesaws, from 12 noon to 2:30 pm. We can ferry volunteers out, or you are welcome to ski! We will continue this every day until the rest of our trails are open. A heads up that you are able to come and help out at [email protected] is appreciated but not required!
