Snowshoe trails are now closed for the remainder of the season. Marginal trail conditions - The first 2 kilometers will not be groomed, trails can still be accessed on foot, the rest of the trail network is still groomed as usual. 

HNC main gate is now closed. Trail access is still available via the K9 trailhead.

Now that HRM has a bit of snow people are asking about skiing at Dollar Lake.   The park is still under construction in part and no skiing is possible at this time.  The contractors are plowing the road and therefore no grooming will take place.

Just a note for all skiers, the lodge has been closed for some time, and we have not groomed for a few weeks now. There are reports of people still skiing up at higher elevations, but the club has closed operations for the season.

While there is plenty of snow on most of Clearwater, the bottom 1.5 km is melting out. This morning's groom will be the last of the season unless we receive a significant snowfall this week. Thanks for a great season!

Today is the first day it's going to feel a bit more like spring out there!  We got more snow late yesterday so josh is out freshening up yesterdays groom with the ginzu. Today is the final day for 2026. What a ride - thank you all!

Some people went skiing on Saturday and reporting lots of snow and decent conditions. Best time to go is between 10 and 12, when the snow starts to soften up but yet not too soft. Skate skiing is recommended. Have fun.

Spring has sprung, 50 mm of rain and temperatures as high as 14 degrees the past few days. Montane winter snow grooming is finished for this year. Let the foot traffic rule. Let's hope for some dry dirt to bike and hike on in early April.
