Mud and Gull Lakes off Maud Road extension, Palmer. Not enough ice to support a groomer, but also not enough snow to need it. 15 mm of snow on top of enough ice to support a skier made for very good skate skiing, even onto McRoberts and Jim creeks. Classic would be even better. Come ski the calm side of the valley this weekend while Hatcher's is closed and GPRA hosts besh cup!
