Trails remain open for skiing with our new accesss point being the Nordmor trail. The snow is accessible from Mount Telemark Village by parking at the Base Camp building and following the George Hovland training trail north across Birkie Blvd, passing one of our snowguns, until reaching the snow on the other side of the Jeff Hommes Memorial Pond.

After consideration of our fast-deteriorating trail conditions, projected forecast and remaining snow depth, we have decided to call a wrap on our grooming for this season. Heavy traffic from Birkie week, consistent temperatures in the 40s and 50s, and prevelance of dirt in the snow has worn away our base to bare ground in some areas and only a few inches in others. We are starting to have standing water become prevalent on course, and will likely become more of an issue as we progress into the week. Trails will remain open to ski at user discretion; trail surface will be variable and we ask that all remain vigilant and ski within comfort levels. Temperatures are still predicted to drop below freezing a few nights this week which can cause ice build up in the morning hours. We are still hosting the Fat Bike Birkie this coming weekend, so we will be doing some prep work for the event, but any grooming will not extend beyond the needs to host the race.

We want to thank all of you for skiing with us this year through a mostly snowless season, and hopefully we'll have a much more white winter for 2024/25.
