Another beautiful day at Mt. Van Hoevenberg with freshly groomed trails and a light dusting of new snow. Temperatures are still holding below freezing, ranging from a crisp 24F during the day to a chilly 5F overnight. Winds are picking up from the WNW, expected to reach near gale force by Thursday afternoon, so bundle up and be prepared for some wind chill on exposed sections.

The north side and competition loops are in excellent shape with refreshed skate lanes and solid tracks. Trails like North Brook, Porter Mountain, and East Mountain were groomed within the last 48 hours, providing reliable coverage and smooth skiing.

Looking ahead, warmer temperatures are moving in over the next few days, which will limit grooming operations. Skiers should anticipate softer snow conditions and less frequent grooming until the cold returns. Enjoy the prime early-winter skiing while it lasts and plan accordingly.
