This Morning the West Fork of Rock Cr. Was painted with a fresh, white coat of “rolled and combed” snow after Saturday Nights 2-4” snowfall.  The WF road was rolled & combed on what ended up being a 1 ½ to 2” base to about 3.5 miles into what is now dubbed the “State Lands Turnaround”. Skiers should find decent conditions on their trek up the canyon.  Snow cover is still too thin to set tracks. Basin CG was rolled but has very thin cover within-  Lots of pole tip clanking! The trail is varied beyond Basin CG with nice deeper coverage through most of the route to marginally thin areas in the predominately wind prone areas.  Also, there are a couple of “dry” ice flows under the snow around the 3 mile mark.  Morning skiers stated that it was just enough snow for a really nice day to get out and enjoy winter.

The Nordic Center is still in the grip of our seemingly perpetual no-low snow situation and is currently still unskiable.
