Well, you guys asked, so we tried. If nobody screws it up too badly tonight, mt Mqt loop and main loop will be... useable. Certainly not midseason prime.

Why can't we make it better, you ask? I'm so glad you did! Overheating machines, falling off the trail, spending days of labor and fuel while not turning out quality product, etc.

A big part is the wet dense snow that spring storms bring. We're currently only packing the top inch or so of the snow, so it looks nice, but if you put boots or higher pressure tires on it, you punch through into the abyss. Then when we come through next time, we still can't fill your ruts and post holes.

So, there's a couple things groomed, but until another sufficiently warm day or more snow, we're on hold. Probably great crust riding on the way though!

Realistically, if we do get another storm, we may skip sleds and just snowshoe pack it. It's almost April, and we're starting to lose our benchcuts everywhere, and our snow depth on sunny slopes. Think dirt season...
