Last Day of the Season Today

Well, the day has come.  There is still some great spring skiing to be found in the woods.  I can't believe I am saying this, but it is true, Moose is in great shape!  Getting there is an adventure across the golf course, but the snow is a soft granular this morning and mostly navigable with skis.  Mill Brook, I95 and Grover's Grind are well covered with snow in spring conditions, i.e., soft granular, ice spots, bare spots, vegetation scraps, and snow fleas.

Tonight, it all freezes, and there is not enough depth and consistency to merit grooming.  A few inches of snow Friday night will not be enough.  So get it today while it is soft!

Unfortunately, a bit too soft and variable for fat biking.

Thanks for a great season!
