A book I recommend on a similar subject is called."Good For a Girl" by Lauren Fleshman. It is a book about young women in sports and the ramifications of puberty and other assorted female issues concerning body image and body changes as they become adults. It is a great book to read for parents, coaches, siblings, and anyone curious about sports, sports physiology, and sports phychology.

We may be done skiing at Lake Creek this season and a tough season it was! But!!!!!! SVSEF has 12 kids going to Junior Nationals in Cable Wisconsin and we had two SVSEF Nordic skiers participate in the Olympics! Every kid on this team climbed their own personal Mt. Everest! This season we struggled with low snow, but we ultimately triumphed! 3 cheers to the SVSEF coaches who continued to adapt throughout the season and provided a solid season for their atheletes. Their knowledge base and dedication to these kids is unmatched. You have to see it to believe it.
