The warm, wet conditions over the last week or so has caused a reduction of the base.  To minimize further loss groomers are cutting back on the frequency trails are groomed.  The main popular loops are groomed but many other trails are not.  Hopefully this is a short term issue as there is some snow in the forecast.   The colder weather has also helped in keeping what snow we have.

It's a gorgeous day up here at the trails.  It's below zero, but not by much.  The trails that were groomed last night are in fabulous shape (Centennial, Spruce, Snowbird, Trapline, RollerCoaster), but the rest are bumpy and icy with a tiny bit of powder on top -- not ideal.  In the stadium, there are patches of glare ice, which are best avoided.

The parking lot is not bad.  The two small lakes at the south end of the lot are frozen solid and quite treacherous.  The rest is navigable.

The forecast is for some snow with continued cold nights and barely above-zero days.  That might help our  base hold up.

Saturday afternoon is our annual Brewski.  Between 1:00 and 4:00, the main loop will be very busy.  You might want to adjust your Saturday ski with that in mind.
