March 27th:  Grooming took place at Mt.Shark on Thursday the 21st with all trails groomed and trackset. At that time abundant new snow had improved the base considerably, but there has been an extreme melt throughout the Spray Valley this week. Current conditions on the Smith Dorrien Trail/Highway 742 will not accommodate the transportation of the snowcat and Mt Shark grooming will not occur this week. Hopefully conditions improve and grooming may return next week.

Even with the recent melt the base should still be decent on the Mt Shark trails, and currently there may be some exposed dirt and/or rocks on a couple sharp corners, on Ursa Major and/or Hercules.
