Dec 19th: About 3 to 5cm's of new snow had fallen on the Mt Shark trails over the last week, just enough to get all trails snowcat groomed and the majority mostly trackset. Goomed only were Ursa Major (steepest hills and thinnest base) and Hercules (steep hills and most underlying hazards).

The new snow and snowcat grooming has improved conditions, but early season natural hazards exist on most trails, including bumps, uneven surfaces and drainage dips, possible water and/or ice, exposed brush, and a few places with exposed dirt and/or rocks.
