Trail Creek Grooming Report

 Final Edition!

Let’s Pause a Little Longer…

Well, it looks like we’ll have to pause a little longer—perhaps only until November 15th, if we’re lucky. It has certainly been a season for the record books, marked by excessive rain and unseasonably warm temperatures. On the bright side, we fared much better than many other Nordic areas in the West. We enjoyed several months of fantastic midwinter skiing, where consistent, cool temperatures provided the perfect recipe for lovely skiing. We even managed to host a couple of races that couldn’t be held elsewhere.

Despite the challenging conditions, our JHSC programs were a roaring success. We saw record participation this year, with thousands of smiles logged by youth and adults alike in our little piece of Nordic paradise.  It is something of a miracle what can happen when you strap a pair of skinny skis on your feet in a place like ours, surrounded by lots of other amazing people.

Thanks so much to all the people who come together to keep this fantastic place we call Trail Creek providing so much joy to so many people!  We’ll pause for a few months, and then do it all again.
