Summit Nordic Center — Late Season Trail Update | March 7st and 8th

Snow is thin and temps are warm, but the upper trails are holding up and worth the effort. As for wax recommendation? At these temperatures, I'd almost say surfboard wax — but stick with your skis and we'll see you out there.

Trail passes are on us this weekend. Swing by the lodge to grab yours.

Getting Up to the Best Snow — Three Ways In:

The Nordic trail system is accessible this weekend via three routes. Two require a hike up the front-facing alpine terrain of Hyak:

  • Route 1 — Creek Run: Hike up the front alpine run to Creek Run, continuing to the Trail 9 Sunrise trailhead entrance to the Nordic system.
  • Route 2 — Snoqualmie Drive/FS110: Hike up the front alpine run to Snoqualmie Drive, follow to FS110, and continue to the Trail 9 Sunrise trailhead entrance.
  • Route 3 — Mike's Hike to Cold Creek: Walk up Mike's Hike from the Nordic Center to the Cold Creek trailhead. Note that snow coverage is very limited for the first mile to the bridge — plan to hike this section. Conditions improve significantly past the Jim Brooks Warming Hut.

All routes will require some hiking through soft snow — bring your rock skis, wear layers, and come ready for an adventure!

End the Day Right — Pizza & Live Music
And when you're done on the trails, end the day right. 🍕🎵 Join us Saturday at the Broken Tip Bar in the Milwaukee Lodge — pizza and live music starting at 4:00 PM. Late season never looked so good.
