After 119 days of grooming we are finally calling it a season. And what a season it's been, with grooming and skiing at WA Pass starting mid-October followed by an atmospheric river in early December that inundated our system with rain and caused bridges to wash out, trees to snap and fall, and flood damage in Mazama and at Sun Mtn. Our groomers became loggers to get the trails open in time for the holidays. We opened our trails for the season on December 20th when it snowed 6 inches. And then for the rest of December, January, and February we only saw little bits of snow. One to two inches, here and there. Our groomers made the most of it and were masters of working with little snow and lots of skill. Not everywhere was skiable, with some trails never opening due to standing water and damage from the December storm. But the areas that were open, we were grateful for and the skiing was so good.  Cow Beach area, the Mazama loops, the Rendezvous, Little Wolf and Thompson Ridge at Sun Mtn. kept us skiing. An honorable mention goes to the Hatchery trail to Powers Plunge section of the MCT which our groomers kept alive as long as they could.

Our organization's mission is to connect people, nature, and communities through a world-class trail system, and we hope that we delivered on that mission for you and your family despite a very challenging winter. Without a doubt, our organization and our community owes a debt of gratitude to the 200+ generous landowners and land managers who allow critical access to these trails for us all to enjoy. Thank you.

To our service program members, thank you for representing Methow Trails to trail users and checking passes. Thank you to our sponsors for your generous support of our trails and events. Thank you, vendors, for selling tickets all winter long! And finally, thank YOU, our pass holders and trail users, for your ongoing support of our work and love of the trails. We do it for you, and we couldn't do it without you!
