Hello Mount Spokane State Park Nordic Community,

As you may have guessed, barring significant additional snowfall, our Nordic grooming season has come to an end. The recent warm temperatures and rapidly melting snow has made continued grooming problematic. Hats off to our fabulous grooming team of Captain Ginge, Juan Grande, and Husky Dave for their wonderful work in challenging conditions this year. We are fortunate to have such talented groomers as part of our State Parks team.

Thank you also goes out to our valiant volunteer groomers who tended to the trails when there was insufficient snow for our big machines. The early part of the season was only made possible by their efforts.

Thanks also to the Spokane Nordic Ski Association for all the work they put into supporting and growing this tremendous sport. Hundreds of volunteer hours are contributed each year to make the Mount Spokane Nordic Ski Area the special place that it is. Your efforts are appreciated.

Finally, thank you to our park visitors. Despite weak snowfall and dubious weather conditions, you continued to show up to enjoy the trails. It is our pleasure to try and consistently provide the best possible skiing conditions that we can possibly produce, and we can't wait until next winter.
