While it looks dire at the base, it's but a short walk to skiable snow. It is 48 degrees at the top of loggers at 6:00 AM. Looking at the bright side, I'm at the top of loggers, it's not raining, and there is a beautiful ribbon of finely groomed (if somewhat patchy) very skiable soft snow leading here. It is December, the days are short and the sun is staying low in the sky, so I'm gonna actually go out on a limb here and suggest that the skiing today will be much better than you're expecting. Come and get it while the gettin is still gettable.

7:00 AM update, the temp has dropped and it's pouring graupel. I'll take it.
