Good morning all! I took out the Husky this morning for an early-season trial run, and it seems to have been a success! This is still relatively low snow conditions for the Husky, so I am unable to use it quite the same way as normal, but it should help to smooth out that skate deck a bit more. Enjoy a fresh Husky groom on Lens, Tiger, Valley, Cedar, Birch, and Tamarack! The rest of the trails will just be snowmobile dragged today, with Greenstone, Powderhouse, and Pine Ridge still having tracks intact from 2-3 days ago. Groomers should be finished by about 11. Mama and Baby bear are also now open as of yesterday! Enjoy your ski! We will be holding a volunteer work day Thursday from noon to 2:30 to work on clearing Papa Bear, hope to see you there! Notice: Now that hunting season is officially over, we will be working on opening up the rest of the trails system. Due to the amount of wet snow and winds we had in this early season storm, we have a lot of downed and bent over trees blocking the trails. So, we are asking for volunteers to come out and help us clear those trails so they can be groomed. Starting tomorrow (Tuesday) we will be going out from the CHALET with hand tools, chainsaws, and polesaws, from 12 noon to 2:30 pm. We can ferry volunteers out, or you are welcome to ski! We will continue this every day until the rest of our trails are open. A heads up that you are able to come and help out at [email protected] is appreciated but not required!
