1/30/25

Today marks the calm before the storm. Last night, almost all the trails were renovated, ensuring another day of Nordic bliss. For those fortunate to be out skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, tubing, or simply enjoying Jessi's cuisine at Reba's Meadow Cafe, there will be action on the trails and trailhead, while we prepare for a sizeable storm cycle starting tomorrow and quite possibly lasting through next week.

The incoming storm looks to start with a quick inch of snow before warming up and switching to mixed precipitation and, eventually, heavy rain for the weekend. Then, it will return to snow early next week, measured in feet by next weekend. There is never a dull moment in our winter wonderland.

Due to a high wind event on Monday (Jan. 20th), we are organizing a trail work day this Tuesday (Jan. 21st) to clear debris off trails before grooming. We did this after the last wind event and got great results. Afterward, a complimentary lunch at Reba’s Meadow Cafe, including a free trail pass, will be provided.

What: Flash Trail Work Day 2.0
When: 10am - 1pm, Tuesday (Jan. 21st)
Where: Meet at the store.
Misc: Bring a rake and/or leaf blower. BVAC will also provide tools as needed.

Thanks in advance!
