Murray Hill Road from the intersection of Ferguson Hill Road to the Horseshoe Canyon Viewpoint was packed and groomed today. Conditions are good. The Horseshoe Canyon Trail was packed and groomed today for hiking and snowshoeing. Conditions are good.
January 20, 2025
The Spruce Coulee Trail and Highline Trail were packed and groomed today. Conditions are good but there is some drifting occurring because of the wind.
The Ridgetop Trail was groomed and trackset today. Conditions are good but will probably deteriorate quickly as a result of blowing and drifting snow.
Use caution on all trails as natural hazards exist.
Please be advised that the section of Murray Hill Road from the Spring Creek Trailhead to the Golf Course Road will not be available for Cross Country Skiing for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season. The road will be plowed regularly to allow access for crews that are conducting tree removal work to the south of the Elkwater townsite.
The Murray Hill Road west of the Golf Course Road will continue to be groomed for Cross Country Skiing. A temporary ski access to the Murray Hill Road will be groomed to the west off of the Golf Course Road approximately 100 metres south of the Murray Hill Road.
