The Birkie trail has been groomed two passes wide with light equipment from OO south to Wheeler Road. Conditions are overall fair, but still very thin coverage and some leaves are still covering sections of trail. We will assess conditions after the projected snowfall on Thursday, but will likely keep grooming the southern reaches with light equipment as we believe that will provide the best skiing experience with the snow coverage that we have. We will see if we can set a track south with the new snowfall totals as well.

Up north, the classic trail between MTV and Timber Trail has recently been groomed and has very good stretches of snow, predominantly after the first intersections with the North End system going south. We cleaned up the patch on the steep hill where our equipment slipped on ice the best we could, and it is passable for now but very very thin. This coming snow should help revive that area, but please still exercise caution between K markers 44 and 45 on the skate trail north of Timber Trail.
