What an amazing rainy couple of days! I hope you all can get out on the trails and enjoy the conditions. When heading out, check the sunrise and sunset times, fall is here and it is getting dark quickly. Don’t forget to pack those extra layers and a headlamp just in case.

There is still plenty of trail time left- enjoy it!

Forest Service reports:

Warm Springs Band This band is near Barr Gulch. They will graze east towards Thompson/Rooks Creek. (Trail 168)

Baker Creek Band This band is near Newman Creek area. They will graze up the drainage over the next week. They will be trailed/trucked off the allotment on 09/25.

East Fork Band This band is grazing near Paymaster Gulch they will trail northeast towards the headwaters of the East Fork of the Big Wood River.

Lake Creek Band This band is in Lake Creek near the corrals. They will graze the north side of the road heading northeast.

Corral Creek Band This band is near Button Creek they will be grazing near the North Fork of Hyndman Creek. (Trail 165)

Elkhorn Band This band is near Bear Gulch. This band is working into Johnstone Creek. (Trail 206)

NOTES & REMINDERS:

Boulder Bike Tour and Galena Lodge’s closing day is this Sunday, September 20th. Come help celebrate Galena Lodge’s closing day with us!

Quigley Update: The first ¼ mile of Quigley Road is closed July 8 - October 31. If you are recreating out Quigley Canyon, follow the detour signs.

Quigley Hill Trailhead/parking and trail access from trailhead will be closed Sept. 1-Oct. 5. For questions, reach out to info@quigley-farm.org.

Updated closing date! SNRA Head Quarters will be open weekdays 8:30-4:30 until September 24th.

Stage 1 Fire restrictions have been lifted: Lifting the restrictions means the public is free to build campfires, use a charcoal barbecue, or smoke outside of designated campgrounds and recreation sites.
However, fire managers would like to remind the public that wildfires can be prevented year-round by following a few simple tips:

Never leave a campfire unattended.
Always keep water, dirt, and a shovel near a fire.
Make sure your fire is dead out and cold to the touch before leaving it.
Never use fireworks, exploding targets, or tracer rounds on or near public land.
