While we did receive 22 cms of snow last week, once roller packed it became less than 10 cms of base.  We roller pack in the early season to take away the insulating properties of loose snow to drive the frost deep into the ground. This is a critical step in our base prep. 10 cm is not deemed a sufficient base to set diagonal tracks or to properly renovate the surface.  Unfortunately, we have not received additional snow to allow us to keep grooming and are now also contending with a prolonged Chinook.
