Wir sind fest davon überzeugt, dass die Entscheidung, wann und wo man langlaufen möchte, schnell, einfach und mit Freude verbunden sein sollte. Nach Jahren des Durchforstens verschiedener Webseiten, Online-Tabellen, Hotlines, Blogs und ähnlicher Quellen war es an der Zeit, eine neue Plattform zu schaffen

Das Nordic Pulse Team ist stolz darauf, mit Langlaufgebieten aller Größen zusammenzuarbeiten. Ob kleiner Freiwilligenverein oder das größte Langlaufzentrum des Planeten, wir haben die Mission die Loipenberichterstattung zu revolutionieren und Langläufer schneller auf die Loipen zu bringen.
Wie funktioniert Nordic Pulse?
Das Ziel von Nordic Pulse ist es, die Loipenberichterstattung für Skigebiete zu erleichtern. Loipenfahrer arbeiten lange Nächte, um die Bedingungen für die Langläufer ideal vorzubereiten – und das Letzte, was die Fahrer am Ende einer langen Schicht tun möchten, ist, mit kalten Fingern auf einer Website herumzuklicken oder eine Tabelle zu aktualisieren.
Die Loipenfahrer aktivieren einfach den GPS-Tracker in der App während der Arbeit, so synchronisiert die App die Daten alle paar Sekunden mit unserem Server. Durch AutoSync und integriertem Offline-Speicher ist die App für verschiedenste Situationen optimiert: man kann Echtzeitdaten über das Mobilfunknetz senden, Daten gesammelt hochladen, sobald die Pistenraupe ein WLAN-Gebiet durchquert, oder vollständig offline und außerhalb jeglicher Netzabdeckung arbeiten.
Während die Daten in die Cloud synchronisiert werden, verarbeitet unser Algorithmus die GPS-Punkte präzise und markiert jede Loipe mit dem genauen Datum und der Uhrzeit der letzten Präparierung. Sobald eine Loipe als präpariert erkannt wurde, wird der Zeitstempel bei jedem weiteren Überfahren automatisch aktualisiert.
Am Ende der Schicht können schriftliche Berichte direkt über die integrierten Reporting-Tools der App und/oder über die Web-Adminkonsole veröffentlicht werden. Gebiete, die offline oder in einem Funkloch arbeiten, können die Daten ganz einfach nachträglich synchronisieren: Die Loipenfahrer stellen eine Verbindung per WLAN, Mobilfunk oder Satellit her, tippen auf „Synchronisieren“ und die Loipen werden mit dem tatsächlichen Präparierzeitpunkt markiert.

If I were to design the perfect grooming app, it would be nearly identical to Nordic Pulse.
I love how Nordic Pulse is designed to operate entirely in the background when I’m out grooming and focused on my work. After grooming, I can provide as much or as little text in my report as needed, with or without photos, and can choose to provide more trail information than anyone really needs.
Our trail system was especially dynamic this year to accommodate logging, yet I was able to easily communicate trail and access changes via the app. Next year we’re hoping to better utilize the snow depth reporting features.

I truly think this app has been a real game changer . In years past we’ve struggled with a myriad of different issues, including internet connectivity, network/server errors, mapping systems to help new operators who are learning the trails. This app addresses so many issues and is helpful in so many ways.
At first, I wasn’t pumped about being tracked on the Mountain, but it’s proven itself invaluable countless times. Our radios up here are wholly inadequate and more often than not, our night shift road operators have tried to radio me, but I can't be reached, or the transmissions are garbled, at least with this app they can determine whether I’m still moving or am stopped and may need to send help.
Also, I love the ability to access the app from anywhere and adapt to changing conditions or update stuff I may have forgotten. A perfect example of this after my shift a few times the road was dangerously slick coming off the Mountain, and with this app, I was able to log back on and edit my grooming report to include potential road hazards.
It’s a tremendously valuable app from an operator standpoint . I think above all other things, this app has saved me probably 30-40 minutes a night, which allows me to get even more trails done and get a better product for the skiers.

The Cariboo Ski Touring Club has been looking for several years at systems to allow electronic transfer of grooming information to the club website. Up until this year the systems available were well beyond our budget.

Nordic Pulse wurde von Julien Locke, Mitglied des kanadischen Nationalteams im Skilanglauf von 2016 bis 2020, entworfen und entwickelt. Nordic Pulse wird seitdem von einem kleinen Team engagierter Langläufer in Kanada geleitet.
Die Vision für Nordic Pulse entstand im Jahr 2015. Während einer Überarbeitung der Website vom Langlaufzentrum Sovereign Lake begann Julien, ein benutzerfreundliches, schnelles und einfaches Tool zur Bearbeitung der Loipenberichte für Sovereign Lake zu entwickeln. Obwohl das Tool seinen Zweck erfüllte und in den letzten sechs Jahren erfolgreich in mehreren Skigebieten eingesetzt wurde, wurde Juliens Interesse besonders durch die Idee geweckt, die Berichterstattung für Loipenfahrer zu vereinfachen und für Langläufer zugänglicher zu machen. Spulen wir vor zum Herbst 2020 – nach viel Planung begann die Entwicklung von Nordic Pulse.
Nordic Pulse wurde im Februar 2021 offiziell veröffentlicht und hat seither ein rasantes Wachstum in ganz Nordamerika erlebt. In den ersten drei Jahren wurde nordic-pulse.com über 5 Millionen Mal aufgerufen – von mehr als 700.000 Langlaufbegeisterten. Die Grooming-App wird derzeit von über 800 Loipenfahrern in mehr als 280 Loipennetzen verwendet.
