Nordic Pulse

The snow continued throughout yesterday, we saw about 4" total of new snowfall in the notch by end of day Wednesday. Clark even got out to do a courtesy "mid-day refresher" groom and some folks were lucky enough to get fresh tracks around lunchtime. By yesterday late afternoon some trails had about 2.5" of fresh powder–dare I say champagne powder–on top of the morning's groom, but very enjoyable for classic skiing. Knock on wood, but it seems mother nature's "dry January" may be coming to an end...

Now for the stats: we have 35 Km open, 15 Km groomed for xc skiing. Tobey groomed the Auto Road to winter cutoff (4,200 feet) last night at around 5pm. Shawn groomed before sunrise today, check the specific details on Nordic Pulse.

Conditions are excellent for XC ski lessons. I got to shadow a "Learn to Classic XC Ski" led by Karen yesterday and she had her eager students gliding in no time. To me, this seems like particularly forgivable snow, so now is a great time to book if you are looking to master hills or even learn to skate ski.
