XC Ski Week Presentations took place this afternoon at the Corroborree with big smiles from Jenny McLeod who won the Rossignol skis. However the biggest smile is on Dave Hislop's face because he won the Sundeck Handicap this morning. Peter Dean is the new owner of the Sundeck and he is keen to support our elite athletes just as generously as Cliff Wallis did over many years.

The groom request for Thursday night is groom and trackset Sprint, 3.5km and 7.5km trails. The 7.5 offers the most consistent skiing. Be prepared to remove skis at each end where it meets the 5km trail.

FRIDAY 7TH AUGUST
For those needing a social coffee fix to recover from the hectic week. Register at the Nordic shelter at 9:00am for another fantastic Mystery Coffee Tour. A special note for beginners and those needing a shorter adventure. The coffee pot will still be in the Snow gums but significantly closer than on Tuesday.

Remember, the Snowy Mountains Classic is canceled for Saturday 8th August, which has helped the ski Orienteering event to be brought forward.

URGENT UPDATE: ACT & NSW Ski-O Champs have been moved to Saturday 8th August.
Due to a very unfavorable and unsafe forecast of wet weather and strong winds for Sunday, the ACT & NSW Ski-Orienteering Championships have been moved to Saturday 8th August. To accommodate as many as possible Ski-Oers, START WINDOW is extended to 9AM - 1PM, means you can start from the Nordic Shelter any time in that window. Day entries will be available from 9am until 1pm.
We bring very sincere apologies to everyone who planned their trip for Sunday.
This decision is not ideal, but should benefit the majority of participants more than canceling the event entirely.
We really hope you still will be able to make it to the event on Saturday and enjoy the only Ski-O event in Australia in safe and enjoyable weather conditions:)!
We very much looking forward to Welcome you at the beautiful and warm Nordic Shelter on Saturday starting 9am.
Online Entries will be accepted here until Friday 23:59 https://eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events/Show/23595
