Hello Nordic skiers —

I want to share a clear and honest assessment of current trail conditions at Eldora Nordic. Last week’s storm was our first of the season, and while we packed every inch of snow we received, the wind event that followed and the ongoing warm temperatures have left conditions in rough shape.

Large sections of trail were scoured down to bare ground, and pine needles now covering the trails will continue to absorb heat over the coming days. I’ve shared photos so you can see the reality out there.

At this point, we simply need colder temperatures and several more snowstorms before opening becomes realistic. I’ll continue to share updates as conditions change.
