The snow has fallen and the sun is out! A clear, cold day and absolutely beautiful conditions to ski. The groomers are out this morning getting as many trails ready as possible by 8:30am. We will have approximately 30km freshly groomed at opening and our groomers will be out all day getting more trails ready to open tomorrow.

When this much snow has fallen, it takes many passes and a long time to track-pack and groom each kilometer. Our groomers are out around-the-clock getting trails ready for this weekend. Please be patient if your favorite trail isn't ready and PLEASE remain on the groomed trails so we reduce snowcat-skier interactions :)

Van Norden remains closed until we can reassess conditions for the weekend.

Busy weekend Ahead!

On Friday, we have our season finale of Friday Night Lights From 6-8pm. This weekend is the long awaited "Fastest KM!" The trail will be our newly opened "Klister Master" and will include the "The Plunge". This storm will provide the exact conditions to make this race super fun and safe. The pub will be open for drinks and food - all ages welcome.

Van Norden Update: The Van Norden trailhead will be closed during this storm cycle. We will provide notice when the trailhead opens again, likely for the upcoming weekend.

While we can no longer groom in the meadow due to running water, we were able to groom Bill Patterson West, which bisects the meadow near the trailhead. We have opened TELEGRAPH ONLY on the South side of the meadow for dog use. This will allow skiers with dogs to ski across the meadow, down Telegraph, and access the open dog trails on the East of the Meadow. Summit Crossing, Lincoln Highway, Sheep Pen, etc. We are not grooming a small section of Sheep Pen from the hut to the bridge due to running water. But skiers can easily cross. Please enjoy the available dog trails, we are working very hard to keep them open!
