I've lost track how many times this season the switch has flipped from soaking wet to frozen solid overnight... here we are again! Temps in the low 20s have turned Friday's slushie into a Saturday morning ice cube. It's taking multiple slow passes to chew the top of the glacier into shaved ice, so I'll still be working on things past opening time. Look for the dot & ski elsewhere, if you're here early (which I'd recommend, if you like firm, fast, soft-top surfaces!) Warmer temps & sun should see things soften later in the day, but transforming snow should stay reasonably slippery. With the firm conditions, the set track is shallow almost everywhere. Multiple passes has the skate lane looking decent (2 passes) to nice (3+ passes). Should be a nice day; happy trails!
