The Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon is back for it’s 3rd year. This is a point to party event with two of everything: two days (classic and skate), two distances each day (40km and 21km), and two ski areas (start at Sovereign Lake and finish on Main Street of SilverStar village)..
Finishing is Winning: After the ‘competitive’ waves start, the smaller ‘fun’ waves will be spaced out to allow everyone to enjoy their time on the trails. With the largest daily groomed network of Nordic trails in Canada, there are no laps or repeated trail sections, just a lot of scenery.
The two areas provide an adventure that carries on well after the skiing is done. When you get to the finish line you're just getting started as the party gets underway at the great local restaurants and bars.

The Canadian Cross-Country National Championship expects one of the largest gathering of the most talented skiers from both Canada and USA in the recent years. Combining the Championship with the US SuperTour finals will result in fierce competitions between US and Canadian skiers coming from the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games and the final World Cup races, and the domestic skiers being ready to showcase their talents.
The Junior and U23 eligible skiers will be able to test out the courses that will be used for next year’s Junior- and U23 World Nordic & Cross-Country Championships
